One bowl, no fancy ingredients, pure deliciousness. I’ve used simple ingredients in this recipe, if you don’t have cacao powder, don’t worry. Use regular cocoa instead, but consider using less sweetener!
Tip: Use extremely ripe bananas, or if you don’t have them on hand, add more honey/sweetener.
4 ripe bananas
250 g self raising flour
50g cacao powder
1tsp baking soda
2tbsp honey/maple syrup/brown rice syrup
100g dark chocolate, over 80% (optional)
Set oven to 180 degrees. Line a loaf tin with butter, coconut oil or baking parchment.
Mash the 4 bananas in a bowl.
Add the eggs, honey and whisk.
Add the flour, cacao and baking soda and mix until incorporated. Break the chocolate into chunks if using and mix evenly through the batter.
Pour into your loaf tin and pop into the oven for about 40-50 minutes, et voila!
